Hope this wintertime finds you all well. Wintertime is flu season and it looks as though I have contracted some kind of flu from my wife and daughter. However, my symptoms are so mild -- just a vague sense of unwellness -- it's not stopping me from doing anything.
In the past, when I have contracted colds or flus, I have followed the protocol I spelled out in the recipe "Mega-Dose Vitamin C for Infection" (http://holonation.com/recipes/93). That protocol has worked every time for me.
Not satisfied with mere success, this time I'm trying a mega-dose vitamin D3 protocol. I'll report on it after this flu passes.
Anyway, as of today, the outstanding questions posted on the site which have not, as yet, received responses, include:
1. My big toe nails grow and then die and fall off. Why is that and what can I do about it? (http://holonation.com/questions/14)
2. Best liver cleanse? (http://holonation.com/questions/20)
3. Why can I cheat in Greece? (http://holonation.com/questions/23)
I urge you to check out these questions and offer whatever sort of response you feel appropriate. (Well, especially the first questions. The third is mine and it's not exactly pressing.)
As for recipes and testimonies, there have been highly interesting ones since the last newsletter:
Recipes:
1. Brewer's Yeast: Supremely Sumptuous Super Supplement, by haiku (http://holonation.com/recipes/94)
2. Responding to Disappointment, by Angel_C (http://holonation.com/recipes/95)
Testimonies:
1. Far Infrared for Detox, by peter (http://holonation.com/testimonies/123)
2. A series of postings between drLove and peter that began when a child close to drLove died:
a. A Child Dies, by drLove (http://holonation.com/testimonies/124)
b. "Bad" Days and the Enneagram, by peter (http://holonation.com/testimonies/125)
c. Tingling Upon Closure, by peter (http://holonation.com/testimonies/126)
d. Different Approaches to Funerals, by drLove (http://holonation.com/testimonies/127)
e. Is Closure an Illusion? (http://holonation.com/testimonies/128)
All of the above is pretty interesting reading. Holonation may not attract a huge volume of content. But the content that it does attract seems uniformly rich and worth reading.
Perhaps, over the past month, you tried to post an experience, but came across a killer bug. A couple of days ago, I posted the blog entry "Sorry About the Saving Bug" (http://holonation.com/blog/14). There I explain that I fixed the bug and mentioned the reason for it.
Basically, I am in the process of re-organizing the code that runs this website so that I can re-use it on other projects. I'm starting a business consulting practice, part of which will involve me building websites for people. Hate to re-invent the wheel.
Hope you all have a wonderful upcoming holiday season. My own three-day seasonal water fast (see http://holonation.com/recipes/92) starts in four days. Hope this flu of mine is gone by then. :)

This is the first Holonation Newsletter. The idea of this periodic newsletter will be to keep you updated on the latest happenings at Holonation.com.
First, let me apologize that we don't yet have an "unsubscribe" feature. That feature will be added before the second newsletter is sent out.
On with the update ...
Well, things were pretty quiet at Holonation during the summer months. From my end, my summer waking hours were consumed by some major projects at our home and land. As for my co-founder/sister drLove, the last anybody heard from her, she and her husband were buried deep in the process of building their dream home.
But still, some things have happened over the past few months. First, members posted 6 new Questions:
1. My big toe nails grow and then die and fall off. Why is that and what can I do about it? (http://holonation.com/questions/14)
2. When should you stop being naked around your children?(http://holonation.com/questions/15)
3. How do you feel grateful during challenging times? (http://holonation.com/questions/16)
4. over eating, what is the problem? (http://holonation.com/questions/17)
5. Looking for a good, safe cleanse/detox (http://holonation.com/questions/18)
6. What are some natural recipes to speed my recovery from pneumonia?
If you have an answer for any of the Questions, please go to the page for that Question, click the "Respond with an experience of yours" link, and go from there. Thanks.
Also, within the past couple of weeks, new member haiku posted a fascinating Testimony called "At the Threshold of the Tao" (http://holonation.com/testimonies/122). Check it out.
Second, over the summer, I revamped the site quite a bit. I'm hopeful these changes have improved the site significantly. You can read about them in my blog postings "Revamped Home Page" (http://holonation.com/blog/11) and "Responding" (http://holonation.com/blog/13).
Finally, four new members joined Holonation over the summer: anne, Barbara, haiku, and VickyH. Welcome all!
While the joining of all members is a cause for celebration, that of haiku stood out for a special reason. In a blog entry called "Our First 'Organic' Member" (http://holonation.com/blog/12), I explain that haiku may well be the first member who found out about Holonation not from me, or from someone I told, or from someone they told, etc.. Instead, haiku seems to have stumbled upon Holonation by surfing the Internet. Read the blog entry for my thoughts on that development. (And if I'm wrong about haiku being the first "organic" member, please drop me a comment on that blog page).
