How-to: Trusting your child

Posted February 21, 2007, by KG

When you trust your child, you are helping her open up to a world of limitless possibility and potential.

Ingredients:

  • you
  • your child
  • trust in yourself to make wise decisions
  • faith in a user-friendly universe
  • wisdom to intervene when there are issues of safety
  • lack of fear

Steps:

  1. Listen to your child with regards to what they want to do.
  2. Be open to their request.
  3. Trust yourself that you will make the best decision with them and for them; a decision that is based on wisdom, not fear.
  4. Encourage your child to keep wanting, and when you believe a particular want is in the best interest of your child, support her as much as you can so that she can achieve that want. (See my testimony "We are Limitless").
  5. Encourage your child to create a vision board for her dreams and aspirations.  (Pictures pasted on a board of future dreams and desires).
